Scott Harris has performed with numerous ensembles including the Utah Symphony, Ballet West, Burbank Symphony, the Salt Lake City Jazz Orchestra, and Opera Ala Carte. He is the founder of The Prevailing Winds woodwind quintet. Scott has performed numerous recording, theatrical, and live performances with many popular and jazz artists including Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, Toni Tennille, Marty Robbins, The Moody Blues, Phil Woods, Kurt Bestor, Gladys Knight, and Eddie Daniels. While living in Los Angeles he worked on numerous film scores including Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump, and Schindler's List. He also worked on TV scores for the Academy Awards and The Simpsons. Scott currently freelances in Salt Lake City as well as teaching at the Canyon Rim Academy and Waterford School.

At Canyon Rim Scott teaches 5th and 6th Grade Band. He has introduced many young students to a fulfilling pursuit of playing music. Students learn the fundamentals of correct playing techniques. He also works with students on interpretations of written as well as improvised music.
