Greetings!
My name is Brynn Bowthorpe and I am thrilled to be teaching 3rd grade this year at Canyon Rim Academy!
I grew up in Holladay, Utah, and went to school at Driggs Elementary, Olympus Jr. High, and Olympus High. After high school, I started college at sunny SUU and then relocated to freezing Rexburg, Idaho where I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Over the summer I had the opportunity to teach in a school for the Deaf in Ghana, West Africa.
When I was in third grade I really liked to wear overall shorts, read novels like The Mouse and the Motorcycle, and jump on the trampoline. I remember when my third grade teacher did a science experiment with com starch and water-it ended up all over the classroom floor, but we had a lot of fun! Third grade is a fantastic time of life.
Some things I love to do now include traveling, doing projects, reading, using sign language, eating ice cream, teaching, playing the guitar, snow skiing, and laughing with my niece.
In our class we have many things to look forward to learning about. It will definitely be an awesome year!
