Hello, my name is Shawnette Abraham. I am the head secretary at Canyon Rim Academy. I love working at Canyon Rim Academy! It is a positive place of learning with a great faculty and staff. I feel lucky to be here. Working with children and adults that care about those children makes it a rewarding place to be. The children at CRA have a contagious, happy energy. I have been a school secretary for 14 years, but think this is job is my favorite.
I have lived in the Canyon Rim area most of my life. I love being close to the mountains and living around such good people. I grew up here and have raised my children in the area – we have all attended the old Canyon Rim Elementary. I attended Wasatch Jr. High and Skyline High School, and was a music major at the University of Utah.
I enjoy life and love to be doing things. Some of my interests include sewing, stitching, cooking, camping, traveling, learning new things, spending time with my husband and family, being in nature, gardening, genealogy and singing. I currently sing with the “Utah Chamber Artists” and have been involved in a few professional recordings associated with the LDS church and various private groups.
My family is most important to me. I have 2 daughters of my own and 7 additional daughters since marrying my wonderful husband, Allen in 2004. Together we are the parents of 9 daughters and 13 (soon to be 14) grandchildren. Being an instant grandma when we married was an easy adjustment, since children are my favorite kind of people!
